Today's my birthday but I'm not going to tell you how old I am. I'm in denial. It's in the mid twenty region. Whilst it's not really that old it's much older than I'm comfortable with. In my head I'm still 19. Do you think that feeling will ever go away or does it stick until you're grey and seriously old?
I'm not so depressed I can't go out to celebrate though. On Saturday night I went out with some of my friends. I'd headed out in the afternoon to find something to wear. I spent hours in all the stores in the city's main shopping disrict but in the end it was my good old friend, fail-safe H&M that came to my rescue at 5.45. I was stressed but everything (outfit and the night) turned out great in the end.

I didn't trust myself enough to take my camera out with me, we all know how birthday nights out can get! So the photos were just captured on my phone.
The dress is a very soft dusty pink color and is made from lace. I love the romantic style but actually I don't have that much in my wardrobe so it was a refreshing change of style. The weather here has turned icy cold so I put on some tights and a leather jacket. On my feet I wore my new black wedge booties and of course I wore lots of accessories too! It was my friend Elly's birthday on Friday so we celebrated together.

I'm so lucky as this year as I'm technically having two celebrations; tonight I'm going out for dinner with my boyfriend. I don't know where we're going yet so I'm really excited.

Absolutely LOVE this dress.. I never would have thought to pair it with black tights/boots but it actually looks amazing and makes it a little more edgy! Absolutely love it :) Happy Birthday.. I know the feeling of those mid-twenties numbers, so depressing! x
