It's approaching that lovey dovey time of year and sadly, just like last year, I am going to be alone. The Mr is away working in Dubai at the moment. He's been there for the last six weeks but thankfully I'm headed out to join him for a vacation in just a couple of weeks and he'll be coming home after that.
It's strange to live with someone and then have them disappear out of your daily life for such a long time. Although it's not nice to be apart it certainly makes you appreciate a person when they're not just there for a while. I expected to have much more free time when he was away but it's turned out to be the complete opposite. All the odd jobs, chores and errands that we usually split are my responsibility, not to mention it's left me photographer less (you may have noticed my outfit posts are lacking lately) and without a co-dogwalker/stroker.
Nevertheless, I decided there's no reason why I can't embrace the valentine's day spirit anyway. You know me, any excuse to paint my nails!! I perused Pinterest for a long time for some inspiration, but in the end I decided on something simple, using easy-peasy nail stickers - to save a little time for all those extra jobs I have to do, you know?!
Do you have a date this Valentine's Day? What will you be doing?
Who else is doing their nails for Valentines?
If you need a quick and very easy idea, you could try out my Indecisive Girls Manicure or the simple Valentine's heart nails from last year in any mix of pinks and reds.

Thanks, glad I could help ;) x
DeleteLove the simplicity! I'm not actually sure whether I am doing anything for valentines or not this year. My boyfriend wasn't particularly fussed last year, which is fair enough. I will definitely be painting my nails, though!
ReplyDeleteYep, any holiday is a good excuse to paint your nails :)
DeleteHope you have a lovely Valentine's whatever you do! x
I love Valentine's day! I did my nails pink just now!

I'd love it a lot more if my fiancé was around, but I'm still going to enjoy the day. Hope you do too! x
DeleteI'm loving how delicate the outlined white hearts are! I wish I had as steady a hand as you. A belated valentines celebration in Dubai sounds lovely - just a few weeks to go! :) x

DeleteGorgeous nails, so neat and tidy. I will definitely be painting my nails for Valentine's day, even though I am single (sob) :)

Wow!!!! You are really the Queen of Nails! I love this! So much fun! And thanks for sharing those Pinterest images - I was also struggling on what to do for my Valentine's Day mani! I'm usually pretty boring and go for one colour all over. Not even an accent nail! Haha. But I'm thinking to do shades of pinks and white, like you did!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm sorry to hear your Mr. is away! I understand you feel about being apart from someone for a long time. I'm in a long distance relationship myself so we spend a lot of time apart. But it really makes your time that much better, when you next see him! Lots of emails, skype and messages should do the trick while he's away!

I saw the mani you did. It looks great! I'm all about the accent nails and different colours, as I'm sure you know by now! :)
DeleteLong distance relationships are tough! My fiancé and I lived apart for almost two years so this time actually feels much easier in comparison. I hope you manage to have a nice Valentines and get some treats from your beau!
