Scented candles are a favourite little luxury of mine. The soft glow of candles combined with a beautiful aroma is so relaxing. I love to light candles and sink into my sofa with a glass of wine, to watch a good movie after a long day. À la the pictures below... it's such a great way to switch off!
Voluspa candles caught my eye in a magazine a while ago, I love the decorative tins, which are available in all kinds of patterns and colours. I decided to hunt them down in Korea. It's probably not the correct way to go about choosing a scented candle, but I selected this one based on the colours, so that it would match my living room nicely. It just so happens that the scent is really lovely too, it's a fresh, clean and crisp white floral scent. I usually opt for sweeter more vanilla based scents but this makes a very refreshing change and is perfect for spring and summer.
The great thing about the Voluspa candles is they're quite reasonably priced as far as high quality candles go. They burn very smoothly and evenly and produce enough aroma to fill your entire room. Even better, the smell lingers a while after you've blown it out.
Have you tried Voluspa candles? Which scents/brands do you like best for candles?

I've loved Voluspa candles for so long, I was introduced to them back in about 2005 when I worked at a salon and spa and have been hooked ever since. Your home looks so adorable, I love your coffee table books :)

Yes they smell great, I can see why you'd only buy these, great value for money unlike some other brands ;)

Neom Natural Organics is lovely, the older I get (that's being kind, as I go from old to ancient) I can't stand anything synthetic and can sniff chemical based scent out a mile off like a bloodhound. Neom is 100% natural soya and 20% aromatherapy oils made in a lovely farm in Somerset. It is the only one that doctors positively recommend for anyone with cancer (that is how natural it is). But the scents aren't all hippy-ish like burning hemp, Real Luxury is my favourite it is a dream!
ReplyDeleteI love the bokeh in the background of these pics- gorgeous xx
