Gosh, I really haven't got the time management thing down yet. Clearly my idea of 'see you again soon' is not quite the dictionary definition. I'm working on it, I promise. Anyway, better late than never, here's the second part of our Singapore trip. I've skipped over day two mainly because it was a lot of eating and drinking and I'd be here talking about New Year's Eve in February given my current posting speed.
So this is New Year's Eve (day and night). We hit the famous Orchard Road, not something any shopaholic can miss, did some shopping and had a delicious lunch at Wild Honey, a great brunch cafe in Mandarin Gallery (highly recommend it!) In the evening we went to a party at Clarke Quay and watched the fireworks above the Marina.

Sorry about the quality, light was terrible in our room, but you get the idea, right? Sparkles, lots of sparkles. |
I spent a previous New Year in Sydney (which I loved!) but I think I actually preferred Singapore, we had such a great night! Sydney was very crowded and although the fireworks were more spectacular there, after midnight the atmosphere turned a little with quite a few people getting into scraps on the streets :( Singapore, as always, just felt incredibly safe throughout the night. If you ever have the chance to visit Singapore for New Year you'll love it!! So, how did everyone else celebrate?
I made a bunch of resolutions, all of which have been abandoned or broken already! Who is sticking to theirs and who has already failed miserably like me?
I wish you a year of success and good health
but most of all happiness! Happy New Year! x
What an amazing New Years! Loved your outfit.. very sparkly! Singapore sounds like a wonderful place to visit.

I was also in Singapore for NYE. We went to the Marina Bay area, and watched the fireworks! I too went shopping on Orchard Rd but sadly my bf wasn't as keen to go to Wild Honey, as I was! Love Ngee Ann City where the Laduree shop is. I ended up buying an Alexander McQueen Bag at Onpedder which is literally the shop next door! Glad to hear you enjoyed Singapore xx
