Bali High

3 May 2014

That's it. Three weeks flew by and no sooner had my mum arrived then she was gone again. The difference being, I've been left with nothing short of 500 photos to sort through (I'm snap happy and have a bad habit of taking multiple pics of one thing) and an extra 4 lbs I need to shift so I can fit back into my jeans. Oh dear!

My mum and I finished off our three weeks together with a break to Bali. We chose to stay at The Laguna Resort & Spa, a hotel located in the Nusa Dua area of Bali. I'd stayed there on a previous vacation several years ago and knew my mum would love the relaxed but luxurious vibe, the myriad of lagoon pools surrounded by lush tropical gardens and the beachfront location. She did. I did. We had an incredible few days doing not a lot but lazing under the sun, reading and cooling off in the pool. Nights were for cocktails at the beach side bars. Perfect relaxation.

Here are just a few Bali highlights. (I didn't go with the intention of blogging about this trip, so these are just a few snaps from my iphone.)

Fireshow at the hotel beach bar, Kukul.
Breakfast - Pancakes & waffles. Everyday :)

Comfiest maxi dress ever, believe me!  Seafolly

I'm still in the midst of the post holiday come-down. I've spent the last four days since my mum left just milling around my apartment, drinking tea and eating things I shouldn't be eating.

One of the things I did whilst avoiding doing actual work, was paint my nails. In the interest of wasting even more time, I actually did some nail art - Photos will be up tomorrow, so check back then!

Happy Weekend everyone!

  1. That looks like absolute paradise! Those photographs are gorgeous - would love to know what the little animal in the tree is?! The only bad thing about a holiday somewhere as beautiful as this is that they just never last long enough!

  5. The Melia is on my list of places to stay, looks lovely. DId you enjoy it? The hubby and I were actually considering it for our next trip in July but since we're SPG members we're tempted by the St. Regis. Decisions, decisions! It's a hard life, haha!!!
