I want you to meet some of my little friends here in Korea. No, I'm not talking about children or unusually small people, I'm talking about my sock friends. Here in Korea almost every pair of socks I see has some kind of super cute cartoon character or funny face on them. I'm actually so used to seeing them that I'd totally forgotten that's not really normal. It was only in conversation with a friend from home that I realized just how lucky I am to have these little guys smiling up at me each day. Yep, that's how we do it in Korea!
In fact, I should really be doing this kind of thing to all my photos if i want to truly embrace the cliche of Korean cutesy!
Would you like my blog more if I did that to all my pictures?
Silver Metallic Jeans - H&M. Black Hooded Cardigan - Zara. |
My froggy friends - Available at all good Korean stores. |
I'm not knocking it in any way. I love this stuff about Korea. In all honesty I adore my sock friends, I have lots more. I might have sort of named them too...
I'm not crazy I swear! But now you know my secret. So the next time you see a photo of me and you think my outfit looks chic or glam you'll know what's or should I say who are hiding inside my boots!!
Love me? Love me not? T-shirt - ASOS. |
Oh and if you're wondering what the ^^ is in the title - it's big smile eyes!

omg I seriously love those socks! And that shirt is super cute! I love things like that.. And you're right about it being normal there and not here. I feel that sometimes if I wear something that I bought from offline people are like isn't that a little childish... no! haha it isn't
ReplyDeleteAhhaha I can so relate <3 I have to admit I've taken some of this "weird" behavior home with me to the States. Life's too short to be self-conscious, and this is one of my favorite aspects of Asian culture ^.^ cuteness forever!
