Yesterday was a mall day. In Jakarta much of life outside your home is spent in malls, everything is there - the shopping, dining, cafes and the supermarkets. It can be good thing and a bad thing; you can get everything done in one go, but sometimes it gets monotonous.

Re-stocking 'shy-girl' through Back2Mac. Free makeup, who wouldn't smile at that?! Oh, and this little guy, who hasn't been out in a while.
Just a few things that have been making me smile recently. It's good to focus on the little everyday kind of positives, don't you think?
So, what's been making you smile lately?

Korea // The Final Chapter
20 November 2013

Hello! I bet you were beginning to wonder if I was ever coming back, right?!
Well, I am, I've just been so much busier than I could have imagined. Guess I should known moving country would take a bit of work. Anyway, we've made it and so far we're absolutely loving it here. We've spent the first 10 days basically getting our new place organised. To my absolute delight they have Zara home here. Needless to say, I lost control and my apartment now looks somewhat like an ad for them. Whoops!
Anyway, other than my new home I have lots more to fill you in on, but for the sake of leaving no big gaps I'm going to show you some pictures from my last few days in Korea. All were snapped in a hurry on my iPhone so please excuse the not so great quality!

Making Me Smile....

A big bunch of fresh lilies filling my whole apartment with their gorgeous smell.
THE best British candy. Hands down! All the way from England, you can't imagine how happy I was.
This little coin purse I picked up after seeing it on Laura's blog.
It is just so darn CAH-YOOT! - It even has a leopard print lining. Available from ASOS.

This new lipstick; MAC Cremesheen in Sunny Seoul.
I mean, how could I not buy that one given the name?! Such a gorgeous, wearable pink too.

Beautiful fall weather!
Perfect for dodgy walks and enjoying a coffee and some people watching outside Starbucks.

One week // V Day and The Mystery Box
17 February 2013
With just a week to go until I head out to Dubai to see my fiancé, after eight weeks apart, I'm seriously excited! The weekend has been filled pre-holiday chores and errands, and apart from meeting up with one of my friends for coffee and a little shopping, I haven't done a great deal else that was very interesting. So, I thought I'd show you a few snaps of my Valentine's Day instead.
Since the Mr is a few thousand miles away, I spent the evening alone, trying not to eat every last Hershey's kiss and chocolate truffle! I was moderately successful, but only because I got distracted by something else though. The Mr sent me a couple of photos (see below) of a mysterious white Shopbop box which he said is special belated Valentine's/sorry-you've-been-on-your-own-so-long-I-know-it's-sucked gift that's awaiting my arrival in Dubai! Eeeek, exciting!
Trying my best not to eat the lot.
I don't actually remember how exactly the petname came about, but my fiancé is known as 'Bear' to me. And, over the years I've grown a strong affinity for bears of all kinds. This little guy is to add to my growing family of teddy bears :)
Japanese Cherry Blossom Shower Gel // The Body Shop // Smells divine but makes me want to eat candy!
The mystery box
The goods wrapped up inside...and that's all the clues I have!
Of course, I've spent the last few days telling him my curiosity really cannot stand it and asking him to pleeeeaase tell me or at least give me some clues but he's not giving anything away. Soooo, any guesses people??
Naturally, the combination of being reunited with him, taking a vacation and a surprise gift has my excitement levels through the roof! I can barely sleep at night and I'm spending the majority of my downtime on the internet researching things to see/do in Dubai. I've already had a few very helpful suggestions from some blogger friends but any more suggestions that you have would be very welcome.

PS: If you blogged about your Valentine's Day feel free to share a link, I'd like to see what you lovelies got up to!

Christmas at Everland, Korea
25 December 2012

One of my favourite fun places to visit in Korea is Everland. You might have seen it on my blog before, I love to visit especially during their special 'holiday' seasons. We thought a little visit last week would be a great way to get into the festive spirit. The minus 11 degrees centigrade temperature tried to stop us having fun (man was it cold!) but we didn't let it. We just bought ourselves a second pair of gloves and wrapped up as tightly as we could! It's no Disney world but it sure is fun!
Here, There and Everywhere.

I'll be the first to say it...I've been a bad blogger lately! I thought I'd have loads of time to blog whilst in England but really it's been the opposite. I get a horrible guilty feeling when I don't blog for several days, I feel like I'm neglecting good friends. My time in England is drawing to a close now though, I only have two weeks left and I've been trying to make the most of it by spending time with family and friends here. So I'm sort of here, there and everywhere but not here...I'm sorry!
A few days ago my dad and I took a quiet walk at a nearby lake. It's such a peaceful place, you could almost believe you're the only people in the world when you stand and look out at the water. While I have a minute, as I wait for my nails to dry, I thought I'd show you the pictures.
Don't take much note of the outfit though! It's a veeery casual...my version of errmmmm....girly? Scruffy? Slob? I literally threw it on and scraped my hair back - I wasn't really planning on an outfit post, apologies!

Pink Cashmere Scarf - Jobis. Gold Applique Lion T-shirt - Uniqlo.
Doesn't it look so calm and tranquil?! I really love having that feeling once in a while, don't you?
Okay, that's sadly all I have time for....I'm off to get ready to go and meet a friend for dinner, we're going for Thai - Yummy! I will look better than this I promise! I'll be back again tomorrow though to show you how my nails turned out, I've used the new Barry M polish from my previous post. In the meantime, I hope you are all okay and excited that it's almost Friday again!
