I spoke too soon about the weather. I should have known better. You wouldn't think it. but these photos were taken in the rare bit of sunshine we've had this week. Basically, since I posted about how spring was finally here, we've had almost nothing but grey skies and rain. Brilliant! Sorry people of Korea, I guess I jinxed it.

Still, I'm staying positive and trying to channel the spring feeling in my outfits. I took a little inspiration from the beautiful pale pink cherry blossoms for this outfit. This was the first outing of my new Mango blouse, I love the pretty Guipure lace detail and it's even long enough to cover my bum (something I like with jeans, but sadly don't get from many blouses being quite a tall person). I wore it with an oversized boyfriend blazer and skinny jeans.

Do you reckon I jinxed the weather? If I say I'm really excited to wear my red Hunters at the weekend do you think the sun will shine? Actually, wearing wellies or having sunshine...it's a win win situation for me ;)

New Video // About Time Too

How's your weekend going? I've been lazy for a pretty large portion of mine and I won't lie, boy has it been goooood!

I did upload a review of my Pashli Satchel to YouTube though. I realise it's been an actual eternity since I did a video (not that I did a lot back then either!) but when I tried to find a review of this bag before I got it, I couldn't. So, I thought I'd get back into YouTube by making one. So, anyone considering a Pashli can now have a proper look and hear a bit more about it. Aquaventure and Shades Bar // Dubai

I know some of you are really enjoying the Dubai diary posts and I'm sure others....well...there's only one more day left, so hold tight!

If you read my blog on a regular basis, you've probably noticed I'm somewhat of a big kid. I like more than my fair share of childish activities and often eat candy until the point of near sugar-comatoses. So naturally, I just HAD to visit one of the water parks in Dubai. Sadly, the day we'd saved to go ended up being a little overcast and a tad on the chilly side. That didn't stop us though, we headed to Aquaventure at Atlantis on The Palm. We spent the day riding the slides, messing about in the lazy river and paddling in the ocean. I didn't take my phone or camera in with me, so sadly (or not?) I don't have many photos from the actual park. When we were finally exhausted we headed back to our hotel, via Starbucks to grab a couple of iced coffees to perk ourselves up, and then got ready for the evening.

We decided we'd play dress up and make ourselves feel a little more adult again. We grabbed a quick dinner since it was already late, then went on for drinks at Shades, a beautiful bar in Dubai Marina. It's by the edge of the infinity pool of The Address Hotel, affording it incredible views of the Marina and the sky scrapers clustered around it. That's another bar to add to my list of favourites then.

By The Beach // And The Expat Phenomenon

After literally doing nothing but lazing in the sun on our first day we decided that day two was a day for a little exploration. The Hilton Resort Raz Al Khaimah is set on it's own huge private bay with pristine white beaches to walk along on both sides. We spent our morning wandering around and paddling in the sea, had lunch at one of the many beachside restaurants and then retreated back to the sun loungers for the afternoon. Wouldn't want to exert too much energy after all, not when we're on holiday!

The Mystery Box Revealed // Phillip Lim Pashli Satchel

I'm back from my trip to the UAE. And yes, the post-holiday blues have already set in! Of course, being re-united with Stevie meant I was always going to have an awesome time, but the whole trip exceeded my expectations. Each and every minute was brilliant. If you follow me on Instagram you'll have seen a bit of what I got up to. I'm going to do a series of posts about the trip, like a mini-diary showing you what I did, wore and saw.

But, whilst I sift through the zillion photos I took, I thought I'd show you what was in the mystery box that featured in my last post. I was thrilled to finally open it and find out that it was a Phillip Lim White Pashli Satchel - a bag I'd been coveting for some time! You may remember my Christmas Wish List included the black with gold hardware and I wrote a post about white bags with this included, too.

With spring just around the corner and a vacation to Dubai at the end of this month, it's got me thinking about my spring/summer wardrobe. I know it's only just February but the weeks fly by and it'll be warming up in no time. I for one, can't wait to get out my brights and florals again! 

One thing that's a staple in my S/S wardrobe is a white bag. I have one that I bought years and years ago and it barely left my arm for several summers. I find that a white bag is the summer equivalent of a black bag, a must have that will go with just about any outfit. Although mine has been a firm favourite for a long time, it's come to the point where it no longer actually looks, well....white! And that my dears, means it really is time for me to move on.

So with a little upgrade in mind I've been browsing the Internet for some possible options. I spotted a Prada (here) that would be AH-mazing but that's not a realistic option, unless I cancel my Dubai trip!

These are a few of my favourite contenders:

1  //  3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli Satchel - Top of my list currently, the Pashli has become extremely popular, especially in the blog world. I love the structured look and the textured leather which gives it a bit more staying power since it won't look scuffed or scratched as easily.

2  //  Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac Bag - The perfect bag to sling over your shoulder, day or night. I'd like a MAC bag, since I don't have one yet, but I'm not sure it's big enough...?!

3  //  H&M White Tote - Plenty of structure and size like the Pashli at about a tenth of the cost. It'd sure save me some dollar!

4  //  Alexander Wang Rocco - Another bag that's become famous in the blogsphere. It's the studded base that makes me love this!

5  //  Brand Village Tassel Bucket Bag - Something a bit different from other bag shapes I have. I love  anything with tassels too.

6  //  Steve Madden Fringed Bag - Yeh...there is just something about tassels that I do love. Probably not the most versatile choice though, what do you reckon?

7  //  3.1 Phillip Lim 31 Hour Bag - This bag just looks so sleek and clean. I love the simplicity of it. Do you think it's too plain though?

8  //  Rebecca Minkoff Triangle Perf MAC Bag - This bag is a unique re-style of the classic MAC, I love the laser cut detailing. Still not sure it's big enough though.

So ladies, this is where you come in, I'd love to hear your thoughts on them. Which one's your favourite and which one do you reckon would make a good summer staple for me?
