Pastels // The Face Shop & Zara

So you know when you keep seeing something you want and then you can't stop it playing on your mind? 

Well this has happened to me, with not just one item, but a whole spectrum of colours instead - pastels! 

I already own a few pastel things but I've been loving a lot of items that are (given the current trend) popping up all over the Blogsphere at the moment. So, when I went shopping a few days ago there was one thing going through my mind... 

..."MUST OWN MORE PASTELS! MUST OWN MORE PASTELS! MUST OWN MORE PASTELS!"

Every minty green and pale sherbet yellow I passed evoked a little 'ooooh' or 'aaaahh' in my head, some even prompted an out loud one, which must have been strange to nearby shoppers. I pretty much wanted all the pastels I saw and believe me when I tell you, there is no shortage of them in the shops right now!!

But....I reigned myself in, calmly reminded myself that I do not need more clothes and walked away with only four new things. Yes, four! Now, I appreciate this may not seem like an achievement to you but trust me, it could have been a lot worse, I could have looked like Rainbow Dash from My Little Pony threw up on me.

Pastel Nail polishes 'GR501', 'YL701' & 'PK106' - The Face Shop

Okay, so I did get three nail polishes which technically means I bought six items but the The Face Shop nail polishes are seriously cheap here, about $3 per polish, so I'm counting them as one. Surprisingly, they're good quality too, they're a breeze to apply and I find they don't chip very easily.

The Face Shop isn't in England as far as I know, but they do have stores in the U.S and some other countries. If you haven't tried any of their nail polishes then I'd definitely recommend you do, you can find your nearest store using their store locator.

Has anyone tried any of their other products? Would you recommend any of them?

I Wore: Leopard Print and Mint

Happy Friday everyone!

I'm still sick but I'm trying not to let that dampen my excitement at the arrival of the weekend. I dragged myself out of bed and to work yesterday but quickly realized it was pretty pointless. Well, apart from the fact I managed to snap a few photos of what I wore. Winter is on it's way here now; it's getting a bit chilly and since I'm sick I wrapped up in a cream jacket and leopard print scarf.

Jacket - F21. Scarf - H&M. Skirt - Zara.

Pin Stripe Tights - ASOS. Boots - Dorothy Perkins.

Leopard Ring - F21. Bow Ring - Accessorize.

I think it's best to keep other prints out of the equation when you wear leopard print. Some people think it's necessary to wear all black with leopard but I like to be a bit more colorful. I think leopard goes great with blocks of bright color. On my nails I work a mint green polish I picked up at a Korean store. I added a little sparkle because when isn't a little sparkle good?! You can't really see it in the photos but it really twinkles.

Today I decided to stay home and get some rest. I'm hoping that with another early night tonight I'll be able to make it out of my house this weekend so I can tell you something more exciting!

I Wore: Diesel, Dream Catcher & Chloe Bag.

Hey Lovelies, how is Saturday treating you?

For me it's great but I do have a confession to make...it's almost 4pm and I'm not dressed yet. I'm bad ass like that! I am going to get dressed soon I swear but first I wanted to show you some pics that I'd forgotten to post previously. I took them only a few weeks ago as the summer was dwindling away.

I didn't know it at the time but this was the last time I got to go bare legged and wear my favorite denim skirt (love it, so comfy and casual, if you stick around you'll no doubt see it again next year). It actually seems like it was just last week but I'd freeze if I tried to wear this here now.

My boyfriend and I had popped out for a coffee in the late afternoon. I wore the skirt with a simple white tee and beige cardigan. I've had my Chloe saddle bag for years now, I love it so much and it's only getting better with age I think. Although, I have ditched the padlock from it because the bag itself is so heavy it gives me backache. The padlock feels like it doubles the weight. So that just sits in my house now instead. The scarf is from H&M, as is the dream catcher necklace. When I saw the necklace it instantly made me think of Fall, don't you think?!

Even though it's too cold for the skirt I can still wear the rest with jeans instead. Which is great because I love the color combination of soft pinks and browns together. Seems so fallish if you know what I mean.

Okay, so the boyfriends is fully ready to go out now and will start to get impatient/repulsed if I don't get off the couch and shower. Don't know what the plan for the day evening is but you can be sure I'll take some snaps if I see or do anything fun!

Lust Haves: Luxe Glam Rock Look

Hi Folks!

Hows your week going? We're approaching the end and I don't know about you but my week feels like it's flown past. Why is it that some weeks are agonisingly slow and others pass in the blink of an eye?

So what have I been up to apart from the mundane? Well yesterday evening I indulged in a little internet shopping and a lot of internet window shopping. Below is the stuff I bought and the stuff I'm lusting after.

Sadly I only bought three of the eleven items. (Gosh that ratio sucks!) I'd love to say it was the Burberry leather jacket coming in at just over one and a half thousand dollars or the Alexander McQueen Scarf but sadly I'm not rolling in it. So the quite-a-bit-cheaper leather jacket I already own will have to do. I also already own a ridiculously large scarf collection so really I don't need any more. Umm...yeah....I don't...I'm sure I have loads just as pretty as this. Yeah. Right! *sob sob*
