And The Winner Is... Deborah Lippmann Giveaway

The Deborah Lippmann Giveaway is closed now and there is a winner! It took me a while to get one because for the sake of being fair I had to write everyones names down to give you all the entries you'd made. That's because, once again (you'd really think I'd learn!) I forgot to go about my giveaway in an organised fashion. Somebody pleeeease remind me to use Rafflecopter for my next giveaway!

I'm English But I'm Still Thankful On Thanksgiving.

I'm not American but that doesn't mean I can't jump on the thankful/thanksgiving wagon today, does it?! It's great to stop every now and then and take time to appreciate things properly.

I have a lot to be thankful for. 

I'm thankful for all my lovely friends and family. 

I'm thankful for being healthy and happy. 

I'm thankful for all the support and kind words I've received on my blog in these short few months I've been blogging. 

I'm thankful for the weekends. Really thankful.

I'm thankful that I've had the opportunity to travel to some amazing places and experience so many different cultures and new things. 

I'm thankful for my teddy bears, yep really, I love those guys. 

I'm thankful for cupcakes, seriously, don't laugh now...but...I genuinely believe my life would be a little duller without cupcakes to look forward to every so often. Yeah, that's how I get my kicks. Judge me however you like!

There's a couple of people I want to give a special mention to though. 

The first is my loving boyfriend. He shows nothing but kindness to me. Honestly, I know some people say that but I don't recall him ever saying a cross word to me. He goes the extra mile to do nice things for me that he knows will make me smile. Everyone is always amazed at just how caring and thoughtful he is. I feel so lucky to have found someone who makes me genuinely happy everyday. I'm thankful he has so much patience with me and thinks of me first before himself. I'm thankful we get along so easily and effortlessly and that I've found someone who I know loves me as much as I love him.

The other person I'm so thankful for is my beautiful best friend. I only met her by chance through a mutual friend when I went to University but I'm so glad I did. We've more than made up for the late start to our friendship. We lived together for a few years at Uni. We worked together for a summer in Walt Disney World. We've traveled together in Thailand and Australia. We've laughed and cried together. She keeps me in the England loop. She's been a best friend despite the fact we're thousands of miles apart. She's made the trip to visit me here in Korea and in just a few short weeks I'll get to see her again when I visit England. We'll be best friends in person again (rather than on Skype) and I'm very thankful for that!

Okay, I'm done being soppy now, apologies if that caught you off-guard. Cool, collected me (ha, yeah that's exactly what I am!) will be back tomorrow. In the meantime I hope you are all having a lovely Thanksgiving, American or not.

MAC Violetta For Marla.

 

That's the MAC lipstick shade the lucky winner of my giveaway picked. It's called Violetta and the girl who'll be owning it is called Marla.

I hadn't thought the process through enough and had to write out everyone's names on a numbered list to account for each person's extra entries. I then put the numbers into Random.org to pick as fairly as possible. That took a long time, 347-lines-long-time to be exact. Despite a sore hand I'm very grateful to all of you who took the time to follow me and entered. I wish there could be more winners but unfortunately you'll just have to hang on to enter my next giveaway which I'll start once I pass 200 followers!

I think Marla picked a really interesting shade (too bold for me to get away with it, eeek!) and I'm looking forward to seeing how it looks on her in one of her makeup posts! Check out Marla's blog if you haven't before, she creates some very cool, unique and beautiful make up looks!
