This Isn't Five Things From My Week.

3 December 2011

I've come to realize it's a lot harder to condense your week into five photos than you may initially think. This week in particular has been packed with a million things. At the end of next week I'm heading home to England for a couple of months. Although I'm so excited to go it couldn't be a more awkward time of year to visit. Not only do I have Christmas to think about but Steve and I are also due to move apartments at the end of the year. As a result we've got a lot on our plate. We've been apartment hunting before I leave and Steve will oversee the first part of the move whilst I'm still in England. This means I have to work out what I'm taking to England and also pack up our current apartment before I go. Of course there's Christmas shopping to think about too, finishing up at my job (which I wasn't smart enough to finish a few days early, no no, I couldn't possibly give myself some spare time) and seeing friends before I leave. And blogging. And life's necessary tasks - showering, sleeping, eating and painting my nails. Yes, painting my nails qualifies as necessary!

Since I have so much to sort out, naturally, I decided it would be a great time to go and waste a few hours at the movie theatre! Why not bury your head in the sand?! We saw The Help, which has only just reached us here in Korea. If you haven't seen it yet though, I'd definitely recommend it.

When I'm busy I love going to the movies. You can switch off your phone (possibly the only time it's acceptable to do so anymore?), forget everything and completely relax for a a couple of hours. It's also great because you don't need to bother getting dressed up. In fact it's possible to get away with going to the movies looking like a total hobo if you so choose. I don't go that far (I'm scared of seeing someone I know, which of course would be just my luck!) but I've definitely developed my standard comfy-casual movie-night look. I usually scrape my hair into a high ponytail, throw on some leggings, a long vest, comfy cardigan and a scarf.

Coral scarf - Birthday gift. Coral vest - H&M. Grey waterfall cardigan - M&S. Ring - Accessorize. Watch - Rolex.

Caramel popcorn - makes you forget your troubles.
On the way to station procrastination.
Obviously I've woken up this morning stressing like crazy about everything I have to do during my last weekend in Seoul. Why on earth did I waste three precious hours?! I'm about to start packing up my wardrobe and accessory collection. A truly mammoth task; should be seeing you again sometime in 2012!

Leave a comment and let me know what will you be doing this weekend? Do you ever dress like a hobo to go to the movies or do you fear someone will see you?

Have a lovely weekend everyone!

  1. wow - quite a whirlwind ahead of you! take it one task at a time, and you'll get it all done! and if you don't, hire someone! haha :) Cute outfit... I don't see movies as much as I'd like - I just never think about actually going! Shame - since it's the ultimate relaxation for me.

  3. Looks like the perfect outfit for the cinema. Your scarf is gorgeous, beautiful colours:) Looking forward to seeing The Help, finishing the book this weekend (hopefully) and then I can see it. I was tired just reading all that you've got on your plate. It must feel so surreal visiting England again after so long. Make sure you schedule some nail painting in between this and that. It's all about the priorties!! ;)

  10. I saw the Help with my mum and some friends. Such a good film! The best part though, was that my Mum literally needed the loo the whole time we were watching it, and every second scene is like a toilet. She almost died at the part where all the toilets where on the girls garden hahaha

  14. @ Miss Amy, Yep complete whirlwind. Already at the point of hiring someone I think. We've called someone who will be coming to pack up a lot of it for us. Yey!!

@Khloegold, I'd take relaxing and blogging right now. Sounds good to me! Haha. I will love it when I actually get to England though I'm sure!

@Essjay23x I wonder if the movie will be as good as the book. Always sad when they turn out totally different and a bit of a let down. Hope it's not. Don't worry, I will paint my nails plenty of times i'm sure.

    @Supergirl, Thank you, you too!

@Sahar Awan, Thanks for following. Of course I'll follow you back :)

@Wegan I'm going to my home which is very near to Leeds, York and Harrogate if you've heard of any of them. Lots of friends in london too though so might pop down there at some point.

@Bri, I love the scarf too, so bright. It was a birthday present! :)

Of course I'll post lots of pics whilst I'm in England!

@CottonCandyINK Thank you for saying I don't look stressed, I was worrying it was going to take it's toll. The scarf is so nice isn't it! Great birthday gift!

@AllieUK That sounds hillarious! I would have needed the bathroom myself just from laughing so much!

@Gentri, comfy casual is always nice, I wish I could wear this type of outfit all the time!

@PinkGlam, thank you, I love it too.

@Evie, I actually sent you a reply by email response. If you leave a comment with your email address I will forward you the one I sent. I guess your email isn't connected tto blogger for replying if you didn't get it.

The bag came from a Korean website. I can give you the web address but it's in korean which could be difficult if you are wanting to order one.

@Alicia, thank you so much :)

Thank you all for your lovely comments. I had been replying to people via email reply when the comments came into my inbox. I guess some of you may not have your email connected, make sure you have it on your blogger account information so that replies to comments reach you :)

I'll try to comment back on here too but sometimes I don't have enough time to get to the computer with everything going on at the moment! From next week it shouldn't be a problem though!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend ladies!
